Overdue
The Prairie Preservationist decided she was spending
too much time on the road...
traveling from farm to Huron everyday got
to be too expensive and too exhausting!
Luckily we found a great couple of gals
to continue on with their own ideas and goals
for the space on Main Street Huron, South Dakota!
Allison and Valorie have made a few changes,
added tons more VINTAGE inventory and continued
the ART classes that the store began with.
Now called
"Prairie Whims Arts and Crafts Collective",
Huron is lucky to have this unique and inspiring
business in the heart of their downtown district.
I hope everyone will visit them soon!
If you love vintage, have a passion
for D.I.Y., think your style is eclectic, and
love a good bargain...then you will
love "PRAIRIE WHIMS"!

Summer On the Porch
I was looking at my
Cottage Journal magazine
today and saw this
cozy resting place...
It looks about like the set we have in our store
(except a different color)
hmmmm, some updated pillows
and a brightly painted table,
wouldn't you love to sit here for an afternoon?
Stop by and check out the comfy
wicker set we have...
Sale priced and ready to move to your porch!!

Huron Heritage Hometown Pride Part Two
It's a little garden
blooming with SHOES!
Potters Shoe Store
is blooming with
the latest styles in footwear...
Time to get a pedicure
and buy some new sandals!
What a fun shoe store to shop in...
This Prairie Preservationist loved
the displays
and how they use
VINTAGE
items throughout the store
to show off all
the wonderful shoes!!
Potters has been doing
what they do best for
75 years now!
With her brother's Photography studio
above the shoe store,
Susan Landstom Fullerton's
family has owned the store
since 1941
It is such an asset to the town of Huron, South Dakota
and another
great example
of
the great long-time
business owners
with hometown pride!
thanks Potters
