When Is a Vase a Vaasz?
This "vase",
found in my mother's
stash from 1995,
almost ended up
in the dumpster...
then I got an idea!
a couple coats
of Chalk Style paint...
1. Chocolate Brown
2. Beach Cottage Teal (mixed w/chocolate)
A coat of clear wax,
and it went from 1995
to 2016 Market Ready!
I would refer to it
now
as a
"Vaasz!"
We have 2 brands of Chalk Style Paints
Old Town Paints
and
Chateau Chic
over 100 colors to choose from
and several sizes to suit your project.
Come in and let's get started!

Spring Colors Bring New Life to Old Table
My spring fever
is making me see
robin egg blue...
my sister handed me this
little table
and said
paint it or do whatever
you want to with it...
I got out the chalk style paints
and started mixing up
a robin egg blue...
my inspiration???
little fake bird eggs,
(they're going in a little
nest soon)...
on my palette:
creamy white,
robin egg blue,
rusty brown,
and faded green
first the blue...
then some brown
here and there...
a splash of green,
a hit of white,
a smear here
and speckle there...
then sand and distress...
the dark wax was too dark,
so I toned it down with some clear wax...
and Voila!...
What a fun little project...
such a small table
but what
a big statement...

Hittin' The Bottle Class Night
Some glass bottles
are just too pretty
to throw out...
Why DO they put whiskey
in such pretty bottles anyway??
We had fun
turning empty
glass bottles into
works of art...
With a little paint,
a new label,
and a little ribbon...
the transformation
is quite
impressive...
We had a good time
"Hittin' the Bottle"
with our paint, brushes
and
creative minds!
You don't need to be 21
to be artistic!

The first of many classes were held this week...
20 fun gals all showed up
eager to learn about

No TWO were exactly alike!!
A fun evening of
